Chapter 4 – Utilizing LinkedIn Groups to Increase Your Leads

LinkedIn Groups provide businesses with a place to connect with other members in the same niche or industry. Groups provide the same benefits of networking by providing information, making connections, sharing content, and posting job vacancies.

As a member of LinkedIn, you can join up to 100 groups and manage up to 30, with each group being limited to a maximum of 2 million members. Although you can request a limit increase it is better to be active in just a few groups than to deplete your resources by participating in too many. 

LinkedIn Groups allow you to connect and interact with other members, join discussions, share your knowledge, build influence and credibility in your industry, become a top influencer, expand your reach, find followers, source information, and increase your knowledge base.

With this in mind, it’s no wonder only 2% of LinkedIn members aren’t part of any LinkedIn group. However, it is important to remember that you shouldn’t use LinkedIn Groups to solely promote your products or services.
